Stop flying around and develop your County, Biwott tells Murkomen

Nairobi - Former Powerful Cabinet Minister Nicholas Biwott over the weekend caused a stir after he gave Senator Kipchumba Murkomen unsolicited advise on how he should serve his Elgeyo Marakwet County residents.
Biwott, the chairman of National Vision Party (NVP) who was floored by URP Senator in the last general elections, asked Murkomen to stop flying in helicopters and dishing out money.
Biwott, who earned the moniker ‘Total Man’ during his heydays explained that he was concerned that the Senator was dishing out huge amounts of money to people in other parts of the country and not the people he represents.

“I see our Senator using choppers everywhere he goes and generously leaving people with something small. We appreciate what he is doing and we appeal to him to extend the same generosity to us,” said Biwott.
He made the sarcastic remarks at Kobulwo Primary School during the reopening of the Rimoi National Reserve, which was attended by top politicians and government officials including Cabinet Secretaries Najib Balala (Tourism), and Henry Rotich (Treasury).
Others at the function included Governors Alex Tolgos (Elgeyo Marakwet), Benjamin Cheboi (Baringo), Issa Timamy (Lamu) and a number of MPs.
Ironically Murkomen was present as the former Keiyo South Lawmaker made the sarcastic remarks. The vocal Senator however chose not to respond.
