State House power brokers using Uhuru's trips to mint illegal millions

Nakuru - A member of parliament has claimed that senior power brokers at State House are taking advantage of the foreign trips being made by president Kenyatta to steal from government.
Milo Mp, Jacob Macharia said that a blotted delegation that always accompanies the President in foreign trips is prepared and organised by some people at State House as an avenue for making money.
Speaking Sunday in Molo town, Macharia said that some people give out bribes so as to be part of the travelling delegation.
"People in government have made the President's foreign trips a money making venture. They send big delegations to accompany the President and later ask them to share part of the allowances they receive during the foreign trips," said Macharia.

"Some are forced to give bribes to some people at State House so their names could be fixed in the list of those accompanying the President," he added.
Macharia added that those who refuse to share part of their allowances are threatened with bans from travelling with the President.
"There are those who refuse to share some of the allowances and they have been blacklisted. These people are making hundreds of millions from this and they are forcing the President to go on even trips that bring nothing," he added.
Macharia called on President kenyatta to personally take charge of selecting people who travel with him as one way of saving his government from losing millions of shillings through corrupt officers.
