Nairobi - State House has denied reports that President Uhuru Kenyatta has been locked out of the inauguration ceremony of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.
According to a number of accounts from various sources, the President's name was missing from the official guest list of the ceremony which takes place Thursday in Kampala.
But State House denied the reports, saying that they are rubbish.
" The President has an official invitation and will be there," a State House official told News24 on condition that he not be named.
" Museveni and Uhuru are close to each other," the source added.
The Ugandan President was recently in the country for the Giants Club meeting which was convened to help stop the spread of the ivory trade in the world.
He has visited Kenya the most of any head of state since President Uhuru Kenyatta ascended to power in 2013.
Indications as to why the stories on the President not being included in the list came up is yet to be known.
