Nairobi - The state has finally moved to crack down on rogue recruitment agencies and employment bureaus which have seen many Kenyans suffer in the hands of their employers abroad.
This follows the release of 19 names of private agencies that have been cleared to recruit Kenyans for foreign employment by the Ministry of East African Community, Labour and Social Protection.
Cabinet Secretary Phyllis Kandie on Saturday released the list of the agencies that underwent rigorous vetting and appealed to those willing to work outside the country to engage their services.
“I wish to encourage Kenyan youth to apply for jobs advertised by these agencies as necessary controls have been put in place to avoid malpractices and irregularities previously experienced in the industry,” she said.
