Speaker Muturi accused of working with CORD MPs

Nairobi - A Murang’a County MP has accused National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi of working with the opposition and members of Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD).
Kiharu MP, Irungu Kang’ata has said that Muturi is weakening the base of Jubilee within Parliament and that he was not defending Jubilee MPs’ interests within the chambers.

He said Muturi was favoring CORD MPs while picking names of legislators to make foreign trips from various parliamentary committees.
He stated that he will demand a list of all MPs who have traveled abroad during Muturi’s tenure as Speaker.
Kang’ata announced that lots of Jubilee MPs were feeling unwanted in the ruling coalition due to the treatment they receive from the Speaker and the Coalition’s leadership.
