Sonko to spend 300 million to become Nairobi Governor

Nairobi - Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko will spend up to as much as KES 300 million in a bid to become Governor in the 2017 polls.
News24 has learnt that the Senator has already set up two teams to prepare for his major campaign to oust Governor Evans Kidero come 2017.
The Senator is said to be very confident of achieving the feat come the polls.
" The Senator is very serious. He has set up a serious campaign team and is determined to come top come the polls," a source in the know stated.
The Senator when contacted by News24 stated that he was keen on the Governor's position but nothing was quite yet done.
" I am keen on the position. That is no lie. We are planning. Lets see," he stated.
Sonko is battling a huge field of politicians for the seat, with Kidero, nominated MP Johnstone Sakaja, Margaret Wanjiru the former Starehe MP as well as Dagoretti MP Dennis Waweru.
