Nairobi - Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko explains the altercation with Governor Evans Kidero.
Sonko and Kidero were involved in a near fist fight at the Senate chambers Wednesday afternoon after a heated debate over the manner in which the city was being run.
Sonko accused Kidero of evicting helpless people from buildings as well as other matters while Kidero refused vehemently.
That is when the altercation begun.
" The truth is that the Governor does not want to take the truth and he is culpable as the leader of this City but is running away from his responsibilities," Sonko said.
" He is a coward. Instead of answering my questions, he chose to attack me, just like he has done in the past," he added.
Sonko stated that he was not afraid of the Governor and was ready to meet him again.
" I am not afraid of him and when the committee meets again I will be there to ask him questions," he added.
The two leaders are set to battle each other come the 2017 General Elections for the Nairobi Governor's seat.
