Sonko comments on Raila assassination claims

Nairobi - Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko has commented on the assassination threats on CORD leader Raila Odinga by MP Moses Kuria.
There is a serious storm brewing over utterances linking Kuria to the killing of Raila, which he made during a rally in his Gatundu South constituency over the weekend.
The aftermath has seen 7 leaders from across the divide arrested for alleged hate speech and Sonko says that no leader should incite Kenyans against each other.
" We are trying to build a peaceful nation and utterances from leaders which seek to break that should be punished," he said.
He also asked Kenyans not to be swayed into Political talk as it would not be of help to their lives since the country belongs to them.
" The country belongs to Kenya. By purporting to fight each other, we destroy the same country we love and live in," he added.
Kuria has already recorded a statement on the utterances at CID headquarters as have other leaders who have been picked up by CID officers this morning.
