Signs your boyfriend is insane

28 September 2016, 19:55 Shakila Alivitsa

Nairobi - The cleaning lady yesterday came in with a black eye. I ask her what happened, she tells me she had an accident.

I told her, you know if I just look at your eye, I know what happened. So I ask, ‘Have you been going around telling that to people as an excuse?’  whilst smiling and she laughs and says, ‘I must have looked really stupid, ha?’ (In Swahili). I laugh and tell her yes and ask again, so what happened? By the way it was not one black eye but two black eyes only one had a subtle fading.

Apparently her man caught her talking to someone he had told her not to talk to and decided to ‘teach’ her a lesson. I asked her if she gave him some as well, she said he ran off (too bad).

Signs of a crazy boyfriend

He thinks he can control you and your life

The above case is a perfect example of such. What do you mean I cannot talk to someone? And? If you find them talking to someone, why is boxing them a good idea? Such a controlling person is a bad idea for your health. You will always be in a panic because even when you are not doing anything wrong and they get suspicious, they overreact with violence.

They are stalkers

To have found her, he must really spend a lot of time keeping up to date with whatever she is up to. These are the guys that have CIDs placed all over to watch you. When you get off the stage, when you go to the market, when you go out, when you talk to someone…they just know. You wonder how? They have people watching you. People are so idle by the way.

Obsessive behaviour

In the number of texts they send you, how many times they call you, they flood your social media and they want to be around you all the time. It is like they have nothing else to do other than you. They want all your time and cannot understand you at times need space. This normally results to jealous fits and constant confrontation.

They will not allow you to break up with them

A normal person, after seeing they cannot do this, will try to end things. Not so easy in this case. This one can even involve their family in trying to make you see ‘sense’ or ‘understand them’ or see that it was a mistake that will never happen again.

You start praying that they are the ones that get tired.
