Shock as 64 year-old man commits suicide in Ndhiwa

Homa Bay - Shock has griped residents of Kiasa, Ndhiwa Sub-County after a 64 year-old man commuted suicide after disagreeing with his wife.
Michael Mohammed Oyongo, committed suicide in his home at Kiasa village, Central Kwabwai Location in Ndhiwa Sub County.
The body of Oyongo who retired as a Kenya Forest Officer was found dangling from a mango tree within his home compound at around middday.

Area Chief Patrick Lumumba said the exact reason which might have forced the senior citizen take away his life is not yet known.
However Lumumba said investigations had to be undertaken following the discovery of injuries on the deceased’s body.
“This man has lived for so many years that we don’t think disagreeing with the wife make him kill himself.
We are liaising with the police to investigate the matter to enable us know what might have killed,” added the chief.
