Nakuru - Hundreds of commercial sex workers in Nakuru town on Friday paralysed businesses along the busy Kenyatta Avenue demanding proper investigation over their colleague who was killed in a lodging last Saturday.
The prostitutes demanded that police in the area bring to book the serial killer who has so far killed over eight ladies since last year.
Daisy Achieng, the chairperson of Smart Ladies said the late Grace Wangari was only 20 years old when she was killed in lodging at Tumaini building.
“We demand protection from our County government since we cannot be burying our members every now and then; we are tired of seeing our ladies being killed,” she said.

Achieng said Wangari had only just joined the industry and was respected by many, adding that she left behind a two-year-old child.
She called on the County government to take care of the orphaned child.
“Our County government should do something because many ladies have been killed in the last one year,” she said.
Achieng also asked the owner of the building to provide CCTV footage to help identify the killer who is still at large.
The commercial sex workers later proceeded to Molo for Wangari's burial.
