Samia Chiefs face the sack of Disco Matanga deaths

Nairobi - Samia Deputy County Commissioner, Felix Watakila has given Chiefs in the sub county an ultimatum to end deaths arising from disco matangas or they lose their jobs.
Watakila regretted that three people have died after attending disco matanga in the area in the one week, thus his warning to the chiefs to end the vice to safeguard their jobs.
"Disco matangas have been turned into dens of changaa and busaa."

This is a threat to lives of innocent residents who attend this illegal gathering and property of those who host such gatherings.
It will not be business as usual for Chiefs if anybody will die as a result of disco matanga. You will be sent packing for legalizing an illegal gathering," he said.
Watakila was speaking during the burial of Loise Nyabaya, 93, at her Kadimbworo village in Ageng'a Nanguba ward, Samia sub county.
The ceremony attended by Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong, Deputy Governor Kizito Wangalwa, Funyula MP Paul Otuoma and former area MP Dr Julia Ojiambo.
Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong's wife Judy Ojaamong has been championing for the banning of disco matanga which she says is contributing to massive drops outs, early marriages and pregnancies among school girls.
