Nairobi - TNA chairman Johnstone Sakaja has begun campaigns for the 2017 Nairobi Governors seat.
Sakaja has begun doing the rounds within the city and Tuesday visited the Grogon villages in Nairobi where he spoke to various traders as well as the mostly enthused motor vehicle spare-part merchants.
He had lunch with them and also spoke, telling them his vision for a new and better Nairobi.
" The city can be changed. It is the right person to do it that has been missing and that person is me," he said.
Sakaja asked the locals to collect voters cards and vote for him and the ruling Jubilee Coalition come the 2017 polls.
He will compete for the Nairobi seat in what is already looking a crowded field.
Thus far, Sakaja, former Devolution CS Anne Waiguru, Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko and former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru are eying the seat from the Jubilee side.
On the CORD side, incumbent Evans Kidero is set to try retain his seat.
