Nairobi - Deputy President William Ruto has wished Kenyans a merry Christmas and called for unity in the country as the year approaches its end mark.
The DP speaking Thursday called on Kenyans to come out in force to support the nation in its development agenda and follow the spirit of togetherness that has been forged over the years.
He also asked that Kenyans pray for the country to head in the right direction.
" As Kenyans we should appreciate our country and celebrate our
God-given blessings by regarding each other as brothers and sisters
irrespective of our ethnic or political backgrounds,” said the DP in a statement.
" All of us are in this great nation because of God’s willing and none
of us is here by mistake. This is why we should embrace one another and
live harmoniously," he added.
The DP will spend Christmas in his home in Sugoi where he is expected to attend a church service on Friday.
