Ruto vows to kick out rebel URP MPs

Nairobi - DP William Ruto has threatened to kick out rebel URP MPs for embarrassing him in the recent Kericho by election.
The DP has told close confidants that those who attempted to win the recent Kericho polls for KANU would not have long to stay in his party and the larger Jubilee Coalition.
A number of leaders in the region openly supported KANU candidate Paul Sang instead of the Jubilee choice of Aaron Cheruiyot.
It has not gone down well with the DP.
" He is not happy. It is okay to have grievances but they can be solved internally instead of openly causing mayhem," a source in the know told News24.
The DP has not come out openly in recent times to speak about rebel MPs but behind the scenes he is very disappointed especially with those who have been helped by his open vouching for them in the last elections.
More so with Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi who he thinks of as a close ally.
" Some MPs are biting the hand that feeds them and they know themselves, " the source adds.
It is understood that the DP and President Uhuru Kenyatta will first aim to reconcile the South Rift before taking any serious action.
They are both expected to tour the Rift in the coming weeks.
