Ruto offers Rift Valley MPs olive branch

Nairobi - DP William Ruto has offered Rift Valley MPs an olive branch to return to the Jubilee fold.
In the wake of his acquittal from the International Criminal Court ICC where he was being accused of Crimes Against Humanity, the DP has offered MPs who he has been having issues with a chance to return to the party.
He is seeking unity ahead of the 2017 elections and wants a fully focussed party, according to insiders.
" The DP wants unity and has asked all leaders he had issues with to come back to the party so they work together," an insider told News24.
The DP expects all those leaders to be present at the launch of the Jubilee Party Presidential team in Nakuru next weekend.
The leaders in question supported opposition party KANU during the recent Kericho by elections which was eventually won by Jubilee.
However, with the 2017 polls nearing, the DP is wary of vote splitting, which is a serious possibility and especially with the opposition CORD Coalition lurking.
