Ruto leading Kalenjins into political slavery, laments KANU

Nakuru - KANU Secretary General, Nick Salat has accused deputy president William Ruto of leading the Kalenjin community into political slavery by forcing them to join a foreign party.
Salat said that the new Jubilee party is not a party for Kalenjins and joining it will render them political slaves and servants of other people.
Speaking Sunday at Kuresoi town, Salat warned that Ruto and Kalenjins will regret joining Jubilee.
"I want to tell Ruto and my fellow brothers who have agreed to be slaves that regrets will come in 2022 when things will turn upside down," said Salat.

"For the next seven years, Kalenjins will be slaves and by 2022 they will have nowhere to run to and it might just be too late for us," he added.
He noted that Ruto ought to have taken time and thought before agreeing to dissolve his party.
"If it is uniting Kenyans, then TNA could as well have joined URP; why force URP to dissolve and join them?" he posed.
Salat called on Kalenjins to tread carefully with their counterparts in Jubilee if they want to survive politically.
