Ruto, Duale discuss NYS scandal

Nairobi - DP William Ruto and his lieutenant Aden Duale are discussing ways of dealing with the ongoing NYS saga that has dragged both their names into the scandal.
It is no secret that Duale is Ruto's number one trusted ally and the allegations of his involvement in the NYS loss of KES 791 million by former Devolution CS Anne Waiguru has hurt his reputation badly.
In light of this, News24 understands, Ruto and Duale have held talks over the matter.
" There have been talks between the two over the NYS saga. This is not good for the reputation of the coalition and the DP as well as Duale, but it is being worked on," the source stated.
Duale's attempt to discredit the allegations by Waiguru have not bourne fruit and he is under increasing pressure after Jubilee friendly leaders asked him to carry his own cross in the matter.
The fact that they have done so has caught Ruto and Duale by surprise.
" The talk by other Jubilee members has been dispiriting," the source added.
Duale has already been asked by another Jubilee MP Alfred Keter to resign as leader of majority in the national assembly until he is cleared over the NYS scandal.
