Rotich unfit to summon me, Raila says

Nairobi - Treasury CS Henry Rotich cannot summon me to his office, CORD leader Raila Odinga has said.
The CS on Tuesday asked Raila to pass by his office on Friday where he would take time to explain the ongoing issues surrounding the Eurobond to the CORD leader.
Raila though says that it was disrespectful of Rotich to summon him as a former Prime Minister and instead it is he who should have gone to his office.
" It is disrespectful of the CS to summon me and in anyway, it should be him coming to my office to explain issues to do with his handling of the Bond," Raila said Thursday.
He instead asked Rotich to either submit the Eurobond reports to his office or make them public.
" I believe that he should come to an easy solution and make the reports public instead," he added.
Raila believes that a KES 400 billion loan taken by the government in the form of the Eurobond has been misused but the government insists that it has done nothing of the sort and that the money has been put in the right place.
The government took the Eurobond earlier this year in a move it said would boost development projects but consensus amongst many has been that it has been misused.
