Retired police officers urged to start income generating projects

Nairobi - Former Inspector General of police David Kimaiyo has urged retired police officers to engage in income generating projects.
Kimaiyo also asked the officers to continue serving communities they live in by enhancing security and campaign for Nyumba Kumi clusters.
Speaking at Ryno centre hotel in Kieni Nyeri, during a National Association of Retired Police Officers (NARPO) meeting, the former IG noted that the officers should not stay idle but maintain the spirit of serving the society.
He applauded the regional NARPO chapter for initiating projects aimed at generating extra income as he donated KES.1.7 million to them.
He was accompanied by NARPO national chairman Francis Sang
