Retire now, CORD MP tells Raila

Nairobi - A CORD MP says that Coalition leader Raila
Odinga should not run for the Presidency come the 2017 elections.
Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi says that
Raila should let others run for the Presidency as he had been supported in the
past by the same who now need a chance to shine.
He added that Raila must save the CORD
Coalition from defeat come the 2017 polls by stepping down himself.
“I urge the former Prime Minister to step
aside and support someone else for the greater good of Kenya,” he told News24
in Nairobi Monday.
He said that both FORD Kenya leader Moses
Wetangula and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka could stand a strong chance of
winning if they got support from Raila.
“I believe that with Raila’s support, a
different leader can overcome Jubilee in the coming election but that has to be
agreed in an amicable manner,” he added.
Raila over the weekend stated that he would
support a different candidate come the 2017 polls if there was evidence they
could win the election and displace the Jubilee Coalition.
