Raila writes Uhuru a letter

Nairobi - CORD leader Raila Odinga has written President Uhuru Kenyatta a letter.
The letter contains a proposal to meet and have negotiations over the issue of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision IEBC.
The letter further explains why CORD feels that there should be negotiations and why an all inclusive IEBC will be the best gift the President could give to Kenyans.
The CORD leader says that unless changes are made to the IEBC with Commissioners sent home as is requested by the Coalition, then there will continue to be street protests.
" There needs to be dialogue which is why we have asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to be a part of them," Raila's spokesman Dennis Onyango stated Tuesday.
Raila says CORD is committed to participating in talks to discuss
how to establish a new-look Independent Electoral and Boundaries
Commission (IEBC) to preside over the next general election.
He said that unless that happens, there will be no peace in the country.
" We therefore today give notice that unless the IEBC commissioners
vacate office now or immediately and unless there is established an
inclusive mechanism for structured dialogue put in place, again,
immediately we will continue to organise demonstrations and protest
rallies countrywide on every succeeding Monday until our conditions are
met," he added.
The CORD coalition says that in its current state, the IEBC cannot provide free and fair elections come the 2017 polls and wants it disbanded and reconstituted.
Opposition leader Musalia Mudavadi has also backed plans to reconstitute the IEBC.
