Raila will not appear before Kenya Airways probe, CORD MP promises

Nairobi - CORD leader Raila Odinga will not appear before a Parliamentary probe on the affairs of loss making Kenya Airways, an MP has said.
Raila has been mentioned as one of the potential key witnesses in the Parliamentary Committee which is seeking to bring to book those to blame for the woes of the national carrier.

National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale tabled a
motion seeking an inquiry into KQ by a House Select Committee for
individuals and cartels involved in its downfall held accountable.
But according to Tongaren MOP Eseli Simiyu, those waiting for Raila to appear are wasting their time.
" The biggest blame is to the government. Linking Raila to KQ problems is
a plot by Duale which is nothing. In fact, if we investigate this
matter, it will bite that side than this side," Simiyu said.
Raila has yet to comment on the proposals but a source at ODM told News24 that the CORD leader was not flustered by the calls.
" Raila has his facts on KQ. That is all," the source stated.
Kenya Airways has been making astronomical losses in recent years, with as much as KES 27 billion lost in the last transaction year by the national carrier.
