Raila unfit for Presidency, Jubilee Senator says

08 December 2015, 13:01 William Korir

Nairobi - CORD leader Raila Odinga would be a liability as President, a Jubilee Coalition Senator has said.

Raila is set to have yet another crack at the presidency in the 2017 General Elections and has based his campaign for the elections on a ploy to discredit the current government of which he is doing a good job.

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen though, feels that the CORD leader is frankly not good enough to be President.

He feels that Raila is a great opposition leader and give shim credit for galvanizing the troops.

" Raila Odinga as an opposition leader is priceless and irreplaceable asset BUT as a leader of government, a disastrous liability!," he said Tuesday.

The CORD leader and his supporters will doubtless argue that the current regime is as worse as could be, considering the current state of the nation.

Raila has stuck on issues such as corruption, mismanagement of public funds, tribalism, skewed public appointments and others to swing matters his way as regards the 2017 polls.

It remains to be seen whether Murkomen's assessment will carry any weight.
