Raila supports Uhuru.... for once

Nairobi - In an age where the government and opposition take opposite sides for fun, it is gratifying to see the two biggest political leaders in the country agree... For once.
With Kenyans expecting President Uhuru Kenyatta to address the country on matters Kenya Defence Forces killings in Somalia, mos also expected CORD leader Rail Odinga to criticize him. Well as always.
But in surprising turn of events, the CORD leader backed the President's plans and actions for Somalia, and the well being of Kenyans.
The president had earlier asked Kenyans to stay united and support the government and the CORD leader was not far behind in agreeing.
" We share the President’s faith that our soldiers did not die in vain.
The forces of terror must not be allowed to spread mayhem in the region
and in the world. They must remain unwelcome here at home in the same
way they are unwelcome in Somalia and other parts of the world," Raila said Tuesday.

" On these, we must stand together as one nation. It is our hope that as
our country stands with the international community in the war against
terror; the whole world will equally stand with Kenya in both word and
action against these evil force," he added.
" Once again, we appeal to Kenyans to stand united against the common
threats to our freedom and way of life. As preparations are being made
to give the victims a fitting send off, we join the families, friends
and relatives of the victims in celebrating and honouring these our
gallant, fallen heroes. Their memories shall forever live with us," he continued.
It is a statement State House honchos will be taken by surprise with.
In reality though, it is a time to be united as stated by the CORD leader's spokesperson Dennis Onyango when quizzed on the change of heart.
" This is a national matter and not time to criticize but be together despite the obvious problems that exist and of which we have taken note of," he stated.
May the force of good will be with Kenya's Political leaders.
