Raila refuses to meet Treasury chief Rotich

Nairobi - CORD leader Raila Odinga says he will not meet Treasury boss Henry Rotich, saying he already has what he wants as regards the Eurobond saga.
Rotich had Tuesday asked Raila to meet him Friday at his offices where he would present all paperwork required regarding the controversial Eurobond saga.
Raila insists that the KES 250 billion borrowed in the name of the Eurobond has been misappropriated, while the government and Rotich say that it is not the case.
On the invitation, the CORD leader was not open.
" The fact is that we already know what the matter is with the Eurobond. There is nothing for me to learn at Treasury so I will not go," he said Wednesday.
The CORD leader said that in light of the inquest into the Eurobond by the Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko, the signs are there that there has been several malpractices of the bond.
" The DPP has already started investigations. We hope to come to the bottom of it," he added.
Rotich, tired of the ongoing attacks over the use of the Eurobond by Treasury told Raila to come to his office and get the record straight over the matter.
" I urge the Right Honourable Prime Minister to come to my office and allow me and my team to explain everything he needs to know about the Eurobond," he stated.
