Raila plotting his own political downfall, says MP

11 May 2016, 08:05 Jackson Okata

irobi - Cord leader Raila Odinga is plotting his own political downfall in 2017 by raising political temperatures and causing unnecessary tensions in the country, Molo member of Parliament Jacob Macharia has said.

Macharia added that the country is afraid of going through what it went through in 2007/2008 and Kenyans will desist Raila because that is where he wants to take them to.

Speaking Tuesday in Nakuru, Macharia said that Raila should simply retire gracefully instead of going down politically and leave the country in ashes.

"By calling for protests and raising tensions is the country, Raila is simply plotting his political downfall because he will be left alone. Kenyans will not follow him into his political grave," said Macharia.

"Kenyans still remember what they went through in 2007/2008 and they cannot dare go back the same route," he added.

He added that Raila has sensed defeat in 2017 and is preparing the country for chaos since he will not be ready to accept results.

"Raila knows he has already lost 2017 and he wants the country to burn simply because he will lose," said Macharia.
