Raila meets Maasai leaders ahead of 2017 elections

Nairobi - A section of Maasai leaders on Wednesday met the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader at the Orange house in Nairobi.
The meeting came a day after former cabinet minister William Ole Ntimama led a delegation of Maasai from Narok and Laikipia counties to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House.
Raila met the Maasai leaders from Kajiado, Narok and Laikipia counties in a bid to woo them ahead of the elections.

Kajiado Central MP, Elijah Memusi who was part of the delegation told News24 that they want to ensure the community remains in ODM.
"We want our people to remain in ODM as it is the party that best understands the interests of the community," he said.
on Tuesday, Ntimama met President Uhuru Kenyatta before quitting the ODM party for Jubilee.
