Raila, Kalonzo, Wetang'ula to hold crunch talks in Nairobi Tuesday

Nairobi - CORD leaders are scheduled to meet Tuesday to resolve the dispute over who among them will carry the opposition's flag in the 2017 General Election.
The leaders will meet in Nairobi Tuesday to try cool things down after weeks of continued arguments over the matter.
The issue has increased in momentum especially following the continued heckling between opposition MPs who have grown restless over the quiet by the CORD top brass.
According to sources, the meeting has now turned into a necessity.
" The meeting has become a must. There is too much under- current that needs to be slowed down," the source told News24.
There has also been a war of words between Cord leader Raila
Odinga and Senate Minority Leader Moses Wetang’ula and their allies, who
have hit out at each other in public in recent days.
On Sunday, elders allied to Mr Odinga told Mr Wetang’ula to apologise for remarks he made about the ODM leader.
meeting is expected to address these issues as the coalition prepares
to face off with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party, formed when
the Jubilee Alliance’s affiliate parties, dissolved last month.
