Nairobi - CORD leader Raila Odinga is not interested in the presidency and is more focused on making money the presidential campaign funding.
According to political analyst Antony Thuo, Raila knows well that he will lose the 2017 general election but he will still contest because he wants to mint money out of the campaigns.
Thuo said that Raila lost interest in the presidency a long time ago and has already accepted that he cannot be Kenya's President.
He added that Raila is a person who cannot survive outside politics, just as fish cannot survive outside water and that is why he is reluctant to quit active politics.

“Presidential candidates receive a lot of funding from sponsors and well wishers abroad and within and that is why someone like Raila is more focused on making money out of his candidature than actually clinching the seat,” said Thuo.
“He knows that he will not win but he will still contest with the sole aim of making money because he knows that he will get hundreds of millions in terms of campaign funding from aspirants and his supporters from within and without,” he added.
“Raila will not quit elective politics any time soon,” he added.
