Raila hires international team to manage 2017 election campaign

16 March 2016, 21:16 William Korir

Nairobi - CORD leader Raila Odinga has hired an international team to manage his 2017 elections campaign.

The CORD leader, who is seeking to crack his losing spell in Presidential polls, has apparently roped in a team to help impact his digital and social media presence.

The deal is said to cost in the hundreds of millions if shillings.

“He is confident of winning in 2017. He believes that the support is there but it needs to be acted upon in a professional manner,” the source at Orange House told News24.

The CORD leader is also said to have an elaborate campaign plan that will start from the grassroots levels.

He is said to have put in place a team in every county to help spread his name and values and that will see his message spread to every corner of the country.

The CORD leader will further get hold of vernacular radio stations in a bid to have his campaign reach the furthest possible corner in the country.

He is also confident of being the CORD coalition ticket to the elections, with most CORD supporters ready to back him ahead of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and FORD Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula as well as NARC Kenya leader Martha Karua.
