Raila heads to the Coast

Nairobi - CORD leader Raila Odinga is headed to the Coast over the weekend for a series of political rallies.
Odinga will be accompanied by fellow co principals Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka as they seek to campaign for their candidacy in the 2017 General Elections.
Also on the agenda will be the upcoming Malindi by Election.
The Coalition has nominated William Mtengo to replace Dan Kazungu who has moved on to the mining ministry.
The by election will be held March 17.
" He will then travel to Malindi together with co-principals Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka and Senator Moses Wetang’ula,” CORD said in a statement Friday.

Raila and company will look to wrestle back the seat with the Jubilee Coalition also keen to stake a claim.
CORD is confident of retaining the seat.
" The election will present an opportunity for the coalition to show its strength in numbers in the Coastal region," the communique added.
Raila will also tour other Coastal areas as they seek to drum up popularity of the Coalition as well as encourage residents to register as voters.
