Nairobi - Raila Odinga has broken my promise, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria says.
Kuria says they agreed to launch peace caravans across the country and that political matters would not feature at the rallies.
He said that this was agreed at the lunch meeting between the two leaders at a Nairobi restaurant last week.
That said, he claims that Rails has now gone out to start preaching politics at such gatherings, breaking the week old promise made.
" Barely two weeks after agreeing to uphold our deal, Raila has
started using the caravans to campaign and attack Jubilee. That is why I
always say he is the only impediment to this country’s peace," he said.
recently went to Mombasa, Kakamega and Kisii but instead of uniting
Kenyans as we had concurred, he was at his best campaigning for CORD. He
has clearly shown he is not for peace in this country," he added.
He adds that he will continue preaching peace in the country.
" I will uphold peace in the country as long as I am alive and that is a promise I make to Kenyans," he added
He was speaking in Ruiru Town Monday.
Kuria and 7 other leaders were recently detained for speaking in derogatory terms which could cause chaos in the country.
