Nairobi - Opposition leader Raila Odinga has fired party chiefs in his ODM party.
The CORD leader is said to have fired 5 directors based at the party headquarters in Orange House Nairobi and asked them to re apply for their jobs.
The move is aimed at streamlining the party as preparations for the 2017 General Elections begin.
" There are changes. There have been new orders for directors to re apply for their jobs," ODM executive director Oduor Ongwen told News24 on phone.
" We are looking at a new structure and more people will be added to the team," he added.
The party leader is looking to seal loopholes that threaten to kill his campaign ahead of the 2017 polls.
Raila believes that some elements that are avoidable cost him the polls and is looking to seal them as he aims to unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta at the ballot.
