Nairobi - Former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru says that CORD leader Raila Odinga is desperate for her to be absorbed into the CORD Coalition.
Wanjiru, who quit CORD after the 2013 elections is having a hard time selling her case to be the next Governor of Nairobi on a Jubilee Coalition ticket.
However, she says that she will not jump ship to CORD even though she has been offered the opportunity.
“They want me in CORD. Raila wants me back there but I am happy wherever I am at the moment,” she said.
According to Wanjiru, the Jubilee coalition is the place to be.
“I am very happy within Jubilee. I know that there is a tough race to come but I am better off here,” she added.
Wanjiru was Starehe MP as a member of ODM from 2007 to 2012.
