Raila angered by long time ally Orengo
24 August 2016, 18:14
Nairobi - It has emerged that CORD leader Raila Odinga is unhappy with long time lieutenant James Orengo.
The CORD leader as well as others within the opposition are unhappy that
Orengo ceded too much ground in reform talks with the Jubilee Coalition
over the IEBC.
What infuriated them most was a clause in which President Uhuru Kenyatta
was in essence given power to nominate new officials to the IEBC.
"Raila is not happy and he has told Orengo about it," a source told News24.
"In future he will consider having two heads of teams to ensure accountability," the source added.
Orengo is said to have apologized to CORD leaders over the matter.
