Nairobi - A former MP and Minister allied to Raila Odinga's ODM has dumped the opposition for the ruling Jubilee Coalition.
Henry Kosgey, a former Tinderet MP and part of Raila's failed 2007 and 2013 bids to become President had already announced that he would seek the Nandi Gubernatorial seat come the 2017 polls.
There were some suggestions that he would still use the opposition coalition to bid for the seat but he has now elsewhere.
" I will not use ODM in 2017. That is for sure," he told News24.
He stated that he would likely join the Jubilee Coalition but it is understood that KANU are also in for his signature.
" We will see. I am still talking to the people and will decide," he added.
Kosgey was a part of CORD leader Odinga;s much vaunted Pentagon in 2007 and was a high ranking part of the ODM leadership.
He was however said to have fallen out with the CORD leader after being mentioned as one of the suspects in the 2008 Post Election Violence.
He was however acquitted by the International Criminal Court ICC.
