Migori - Muslims who are not well conversant with Arabic, Kiswahili or English languages have a reason to smile after the holy Quran was translated into a local language.
37-year-old Omar Al Bashir, a former student of Islamic University of Cairo in Egypt is the brain behind the translation.
"I took my time to translate the holy book so as to benefit locals who do not understand Arabic," said Bashir, formerly known as Kennedy Otieno.
The book that took three years to write has been approved by Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM) and is now available in bookshops.
