Nairobi - Quit CORD and lose in 2017, MP warns Raila
Jakoyo Midiwo, the Gem MP and total ally to party leader Raila Odinga says that if he quits the CORD Coalition, he risks losing support in areas that he might just not want to and end up second behind President Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2017 elections.
According to Midiwo, Raila must stay put within CORD.
" There must not be a split within CORD. We need each other. Kenyans want to see a coalition that can defeat the Jubilee Party and not other things that will not add value," he told News24.
According to Midiwo, any CORD split will only be beneficial to the ruling wing.
" They have already consolidated support. Raila must not quit CORD at all costs to ensure that the Coalition is strong as possible to defeat Jubilee," he added.
According to Midiwo, if they do not work together, it will be a difficult task to get anything from the CORD Coalition.
