Nakuru - Nakuru county commissioner, Joshua Nkanatha has urged bloggers not to burn the country through negative blogging.
Nkanatha said that bloggers have a critical role to play in uniting the country by blogging about positive things rather than focusing on what divides them.
Speaking Tuesday morning during a meeting between bloggers and the Nakuru County security committee, Nkanatha called upon bloggers to be responsible in their work and put the interests of the nation above their personal interests.

He observed that blogging is an avenue that can bring Kenyans together but is being misused by what he called quark bloggers.
“Bloggers are very powerful people in the modern society because they have a lot of influence but it is saddening to note that some are being used as tools of dividing Kenyans and creating enmity among us,” said Nkanatha.
“Bloggers should exercise some professionalism and caution in the course of their work because if they mess up, they can even burn this country,” he said.
“I do not want to sit here and imagine that it will be the bloggers who will be used to burn this country and I want to urge you all please do not burn this country because if it burns we will have nowhere to run to,” he said.
