Nairobi - Presidential Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU) has been disbanded.
Statehouse Wednesday evening announced the dissolution of the team that handles the communication of President Uhuru Kenyatta in what is suspected to be infighting among its members.
According to a memo seen by News24 that was signed by assistant Head of Public Service Nzioka Waita, President Kenyatta has discharged from duty four directors of various units.

Among those sent packing include controversial blogger Dennis Itumbi who was in charge of Digital and Diaspora Communications and Munyori Buku, the Senior Director Public Communications.
The two were regular on social media and made highly controversial posts, where they took opposition leaders head on.
Others affected are Eric Ng’eno, head of Messaging at the Presidency who was also the President's official speech writer and James Kinyua, the Branding and Events Director.
Waita in the memo however disclosed that the Presidency retained Manoah Esipisu as the State House spokesperson and head of communication.
"PSCU will be restructured in the shortest time possible with emphasis on more organized communication," said Waita.
