Nakuru - A section of politicians from Nakuru County have been put on notice by security apparatus for befriending criminal gangs.
South Rift regional coordinator, Wanyama Musiambo said that some MPs and MCAs have been secretly associating with criminal cartels and gangs which they intend to use in next year’s polls.
Speaking Sunday in Nakuru town, Musiambo said that the unnamed politicians are secretly funding and supporting the gangs by offering financial support.

He warned that they will not spare any politician who will be found befriending outlawed gangs.
“There are cartels and gangs which have come up within the County of Nakuru and we are told they are enjoying backing from some political leaders,” said Musiambo.
He added: “We have put some leaders on the radar and we are monitoring their activities. Anyone found working with these gangs will face the law.”
The warning comes days local authorities raised fears that the outlawed Mungiki sect was regrouping ahead of the coming general election.
