24 May 2016, 16:55 Victor Tinto

Nairobi - A policeman likely killed businessman Jacob Juma, it has emerged.

Police reports state that the killer was likely to have been a former Police officer stationed at the Wilson Airport Police station.

The former officer was part of a gang for hire that has been killing in the city and kidnapping demanding ransom Police say.

They have refused to release his name.

The said officer was killed in a botched robbery last week, according to further reports from Police headquarters but it is not certain how he was linked to the murder.

" The gun that killed Juma was recovered during a botched robbery last week," Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinett says.

It was an AK 47 rifle that did the deed.

He said that the name of the officer would not be released until investigations are complete.

Juma was killed in cold blood along Ngong road but there has been confusion since, with details of how and where he was murdered yet to be known.
