Police want Kabogo arrested over Hate Speech

Nairobi - Police have asked that Kiambu Governor William Kabogo be arrested and prosecuted over Hate Speech.
The Director of Criminal Investigations DCI's office said Monday that there was enough evidence to force through the charges against the Governor for comments made in October.
Kabogo stated during a rally in Thika Town that he would attack CORD leader Raila Odinga in his house. He also called him uncircumcised.
The DCI also called for similar action on Mandera Senator Billow Kerrow.
Kerrow was accused of inciting members of the public to act against the government over alleged mas graves in Mandera.
However on digging up the alleged sites, none was found.
Kerrow did apologize over the matter but the DCI has stated that it is important that he be prosecuted as a lesson to others.
The files have been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions for assessment.
