Police officer arraigned for stripping schoolgirl

Nairobi - A police officer based in Sagana was arraigned in court for stripping a schoolgirl.
Sagana traffic base commander, Agnes Magiri allegedly stripped the girl for possessing several rolls of bhang.
The incident took place in 2015 as the minor travelled to Nairobi for the August holidays.
Magiri allegedly pulled the girl from the bus she was traveling in and took her Kiangwaci police patrol base for body search, and in the process removed her brassiere.
When they found her with the rolls of bhang, they took her to the Report Office where her underwear was pulled down.
They also took her nudes and uploaded them on social media, attracting public outcry.
The officer was charged Tuesday for subjecting the minor to cruel, inhumane and degrading treatment.
The officer was also facing a murder charges alongside her three colleagues.
