Police Constable arraigned on rape charges

Nakuru - A police officer was Tuesday arraigned in a Molo court over three counts of rape.
Police constable John Waweru allegedly raped Ms Florence Chepkurui at Keringet Centre of Kuresoi South District in March.
In the first count, the suspect was charged that on the March 26 this year, at Keringet trading center, he allegedly raped Ms Florence Chepkurui without her consent.

The second count read that the suspect sexually assaulted Ms Chepkurui by using his fingers to penetrate the vagina of the victim.
"You assaulted the victim by causing actual bodily harm," the last count read.
Appearing before Resident Magistrate Rita Amwai, the accused was released on a bond of KES 200,000 with a surety of the same amount or a cash bail of KES 100,000.
The case will be heard on November 21, 2016.
