PLO Lumumba in trouble after plagiarizing newspaper article
13 October 2016, 09:41
Nairobi - A city lawyer and author has sued former EACC boss, PLO Lumumba for plagiarism.
Wachira Maina accused Lumumba of using his intellectual property as his own work, thus dishonoring his position as the Kenya School of Law Director.
Lumumba allegedly copied quotes from an article authored by Wachira and published in the East African newspaper on April 20, 2013.
Wachira says he learnt about the infringement in November 2015 when he bought a copy of the Law Society of Kenya Journal, where the plagiarized content was published.
He now wants Lumumba suspended from Kenya School of Law pending the hearing and determination of the case.
Lumumba has however requested to settle the matter out of court.
