Pickpocket nabbed at Kiganjo Police College

Nyeri - A suspected pickpocket was
Friday arrested at Kiganjo Police Training College during a pass-out parade
which was presided over by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The man who is said to be from Nyeri town
was cornered by hawk-eyed police officers while robbing a woman of her mobile
phone and other personal items.
The woman said the man
quietly opened her handbag and picked the items together with some
unspecified amount of money.

During interrogation by police, the

She was among thousands of people who had gone to the College to witness their kin
graduating to join the National Police Service.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery, Inspector General of Police Joseph
Boinnet and Deputy Inspector General of Police Joel Kitili among other
officials from the national government attended the event.
