Nairobi - Since the release of the collaborative effort between Sauti
Sol and Willy Paul called Take it Slow, the gospel industry in Kenya has been
on the attack, claiming that the singer is losing his way and going secular.
defended himself saying despite the he was still a full-fledged gospel artist.
He now however has a long line of collaborations with secular artists including
Jamaican dancehall queen Tiana and Morgan Heritage, raising question on whether
he is truly turning to secular music.
His fans have taken to social media to express their
admiration for the kind of progression that the artist is showing. Despite
these artists not being specifically gospel, they are good for building his
career, something Willy Paul desperately needs right now after months and
months of negative media.
He earlier posted a picture with himself and Elani,
hinting at a possible collaboration with them. Check the photo out here.
