Vihiga - Amani National Congress party leader, Musalia Mudavadi has failed to endorse Vihiga County Assembly members for another term during his address to the house on Thursday.
Mudavadi told the expectant MCAs that his visit to the assembly to address members was driven by his love for devolution and need to spread its gospel to all parts of the country.
“I did not come here to condemn you, and neither did I come to endorse anyone. I have nothing personal against any of you. I came to share my thoughts on devolution and say it must remain and strengthened to avoid its pitfalls,” Mudavadi said.
He added, “Prepare how you will account to the people who voted for you. I wish you well as you go to the homestretch of your term.”

Mudavadi, while addressing the assembly for the first time, warned the legislators that voters are ruthless as they have dealt with him personally in the past, when he faltered.
A majority of MCAs expected Mudavadi to endorse their bid for the next term and grant them safe passage to his ANC party.
Of the 25 elected MCAs, 15 of them belong to United Democratic Front (UDF) party, through which Mudavadi vied for the presidency in the last general election.
